Internal Medicine Interest Group
We are mostly pre-clinical students who want to learn more about the practice of Internal Medicine and the career possibilities within this specialty. We host events to educate and inform medical students about the different subspecialties within Internal Medicine. We also strive to connect medical students with Internal Medicine physicians for shadowing and mentoring experiences.
The activities of the Internal Medicine Interest Group provide information and resources about Internal Medicine to medical students. Internal Medicine is a primary care specialty, and by encouraging medical students to pursue careers in internal medicine, we are benefiting the health of our community.
The Internal Medicine Interest Group acts to educate medical students about the opportunities available in a career in Internal Medicine and provide information that is otherwise not available to medical students regarding the different subspecialties and general practice of an IM physician.
